The Company
KINGS Security Group started operations as a locksmith company in Darlinghurst, Sydney in 1988. Back then it was known as BNS security.
KINGS originally offered locksmith skills - designing and installing restricted master key systems, unlocking doors, cutting keys and fixing locks - 24/7. KINGS also supply and service access control systems, all types of safes, photo ID cards, environmental and computer room monitoring as well as all forms of electronic lock installations.
Business Challenge
KINGS have three operating units within their business, manufacturing, service and installation projects. The challenge was to find a product that could be applied to these multi business units.
simPRO 5.0 became a real option after a live demonstration in their office. The first reaction from Operations and Service managers was the easy navigation of the web interface. This was a critical part in selecting the software as 90% of users are from a trade background with little computer operating skills making simPRO a very attractive package.
The Solution
Kings Security selected simPRO; enabling local and remote staff to access the web based system to support a range of service based activity. simPRO 5.0 is a rapid deployment solution, which was originally developed for a local service company and now is commercially available specifically for the service industry!
Business Impact
Project management, also high on the list of must haves, KINGS has at any one time 6 - 10 major projects, these all need quick and accurate reporting of financial status and with simPRO this was an easy adoption with the P&L across the range of activities.
All projects now have up to date time & billing, product control, progress claims and variations, all this data is held and managed by simPRO, knowing this information can be updated and or accessed from any building site with WEB access or a wireless hotspot was a real advantage for our project managers.
